While summer is typically a time to relax by the beach with a margarita in hand, Backupify’s product team has been busy, busy, busy. During the past few months, we’ve added several feature enhancements to our Backupify for Google Apps and Backupify for Salesforce backup products. Our Summer 2013 release of product updates includes expanded functionality and a new user interface with a focus on enterprise customers – helping to manage large numbers of users and multiple terabytes of data more easily.
These added features are designed to help our customers become more efficient at managing their cloud-to-cloud backups, while requiring zero-training for end users who need to retrieve data.
Backupify’s Summer 2013 Release includes the following:
Updates to Backupify for Google Apps
-
New Admin Dashboard within the Google Apps solution gives Backupify administrators the ability to view a comprehensive overview of the status and health of their backups.
-
Enhanced User Management allows admins to view organizational units (OUs) within Backupify, view user’s avatars to easily identify the right account, download a list of users with storage usage and status, and take advantage of archived users to easily segment suspended or deleted users on the Google domain.
-
A refreshed interface for all services, Gmail (including Chats), Drive, Calendar, Contacts and Sites, helps our customers restore items to another user and perform batch restores of multiple items at once.
-
New Google Apps Drive UI Features include integrated search with extended parameters such as folder, owner, deleted, along with the ability to browse documents by folder. Search is the best way to retrieve documents within Google Apps – especially for busy admins – so we’re thrilled about this functionality! The new Google Apps drive UI includes a metadata panel so that users can view details about the document to confirm it is the right one before restoring it. And with infinite versioning support and deleted document tracking, you will be sure to find the document(s) you need as fast as possible.
Updates to Backupify for Salesforce.com
-
Salesforce Product Updates include the ability to back up metadata within Salesforce.com including reports, email templates, page layouts and other metadata types. Users are also now provided with a weekly backup status email.
Platform Updates
-
Bring Your Own Storage offers Backupify customers the option to use their own data storage provider, giving companies more ownership and control over their data.
